Cable sales agent broadens HDTV sales push

Wednesday, July 11, 2007

Broadband National Inc., which provides an online service for cable companies to reach new consumers with triple play and other bundled packages, is adding HDTV set sales to its list of segments. BNI is partnering with Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Charter to create a Web site, www.hdtvspecialoffer.com, to provide HDTV set discounts for consumers who subscribe to cable service.

“In most cases individuals and families that are upgrading to high-definition television are also upgrading their home entertainment services such as video, Internet and voice,” said Mark Weibel, EVP of marketing for BNI. “Users can visit the Web site and check for 'triple play' bundles consisting of video, data and voice services and at the same time purchase the HDTV of their choice at a tremendous discount.”
